I was born into a military family right here at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. Growing up below the poverty line as part of the working poor, I witnessed my parents' relentless struggle to achieve a middle-class lifestyle. This experience has shaped my belief that every Marylander should have an equal opportunity to build a better future for themselves and their families.
As a proud Democrat in Annapolis, I have contributed to enacting legislation that invests in our small businesses, expands opportunities for workers, and breaks down barriers for Marylanders. I am thrilled to have played a role in opening doors for local and minority-owned small businesses and ensuring that every resident has access to the opportunities they deserve.
